Hello Again
So...facebook is fun. It has been a really long time since I've posted on here and I blame facebook. But I'm here again and I'm going to remind you of my extreme nerdiness. Ashley and I are designing a Star Trek game. Heck yes. We've been doing lots of research too. Ashley is researching Voyager and I am researching The Next Generation. We've also got Michael helping us. We ask him lots of questions about Deep Space 9.
So our game is like a board game, with some RP mixed in. At the beginning of the game you get to draw your crew from the crew cards. There will be separate piles for the Senior Officers to make sure that everyone has a captain, engineer, etc. You also draw a goal card that gives you a specific task to perform. Then you roll the dice and move your ship across the across the grid of the four quadrants. Neat isn't it. The RP element comes in because there are different cards that you will need to draw, guest star cards and scenario cards. These cards will present you with a situation that you have to find a solution to. The other players then vote on whether or not your solution worked. To win the game a player must complete so many goal cards. This game is going to be the best ever, but it probably will only be appreciated by a select few Trekkies.

Don't forget to include expendable crewmen...they are essential to all sci-fi.
are you sure having the other player vote if it works is a good idea? what if the person is winning and then the other players say it doesn't work to keep that person from winning?
