Bio Major I am

Im honor of the new Pirates of the Carribean movie coming out July 7, I redecorated Captain Jack's cage accordingly.

How great is that. Jack really likes all the sticks in it too. He tore off most of the green napkin to put in his nest, but he left a little so it does still look like a tree. I had great fun.
In other news Mommy found a dead bird in the yard today that was in a rather severe state of decomposition. I named him Stewart. I collected all the bones and put them in sherbert container. I'm going to let the maggots finish eating all the flesh and then I'm going to clean the bones and attempt to put them together. I think that Stewart broke his wing though because there were a lot of bone fragments under his head. No matter what I still have his head and jawbone so I can put those together and have that. But I hope that I'll be able to get a bit more. Bird have a lot of teeny tiny little bones though so I'm not overly hopeful. Oh well. Here's a picture of Stewarts bones. They're pretty well cleaned off.

I like being a bio major. It's really fun sometimes.

I'm going to have to be the one who says nasty and gross, mostly because birds have all those nasty diseases...they don't call it bird flu for nothing.

I'm going to side with Lisa and princess: be careful and wash your hands a lot, but oh - so cool! I haven't tried to reassymble the squirrel bones I found freshman year yet, but I did contemplate sterlizing them and putting them in Cazi's tank for decoration a while back ^_^ Speaking of tanks, Jack's looks great! I love the jungle look :) Did you get that job @ Hobby Lobby? Did you actually fill out and turn in the application?

Yours truly,
Perfect Pink

I used gloves, sillies. And I made absolutely certain that I did not suck on any of the bones. So I'm pretty sure I am bird flu free.
